About the role
As a Revenue Cycle Intelligence Associate, you will lead customer initiatives and support the development and delivery of technology-enabled service offerings. You'll work closely with customers to leverage Kodiak's analytics platform and your experience as a revenue cycle operator to drive operational improvements and financial performance across the revenue cycle. This role requires a blend of healthcare revenue cycle expertise, analytical acumen, and customer-facing experience.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Engagement Managers with customer engagements focused on revenue cycle transformation and performance improvement
- Analyze complex healthcare data sets to identify trends, root causes, and actionable insights
- Develop and present detailed reports, dashboards, and visualizations using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data-driven solutions
- Translate business needs into technical requirements and ensure successful delivery solution
- Provide subject matter expertise on revenue cycle operations, KPIs, and best practices
- Contribute to knowledge sharing across the organization by developing documentation and reusable tools that support team success
- Support product development by identifying opportunities for innovation and automation
- Participate in customer meetings, presentations, and strategic planning sessions
- Travel occasionally to customer sites as needed (estimated)
- Foster an environment of ownership of project and customer success
Required Qualifications
A strong candidate will possess:
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of progressive experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations, or consulting. Prior experience in a professional services or consulting environment is strongly preferred. Experience working with or for RCM vendors, health systems, or payers is highly valued.
- Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of revenue cycle KPIs, workflows, and operational levers (e.g., denials, A/R, cash collections, charge capture). Ability to interpret and communicate complex financial and operational data to non-technical stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Excel. Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases. Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) and healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) is a plus.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, MHA, MPH) preferred.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience crafting executive-level presentations. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. High attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
