About the role
Opens and verifies returned merchandise, scans merchandise, and places freight in proper locations.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, move, stock, and stage product. May require using powered equipment.
- Verify proper item is in the original packaging in preparation for scanning.
- Assure accurate and proper processing of all freight utilizing the scanning system.
- Identify items that require special processing or separation (e.g. hazardous material, store services, research, salvage).
- Ensure that scanned freight reaches the appropriate destination (e.g. slot, destroy, salvage).
- Stack and tape pallets in a safe manner.
- Observe all safety and sanitation standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Order Fulfillment as a Returns Processor, including cross-trained skills across multiple departments: inbound, outbound, auto store, domestic and international shipping, receiving.
- Preparing product for safe shipment and verifying accuracy utilizing computer, shipping label, and/or packing list.
Requirements
- A minimum of one year's experience in order fulfillment as an Order Picker and Packer, including cross-trained skills across multiple departments: inbound, outbound, auto store, domestic and international shipping, receiving.
- Experience with a WMS (Warehouse Management System) is highly desired (e.g. JDA, Red Prairie, Blue Yonder, Manhattan, SAP).
- Able to stand for extended periods of time (up to 90% of the shift).
- Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred.
- Material handling equipment certification, preferred.
- Six months warehouse experience, preferred.
- Six months forklift operation experience, preferred.
