Retail Team Lead - Vera Bradley Freehold Raceway

About the role

Work alongside store leadership to provide daily direction, communication, and training to execute daily action plans in accordance with Vera Bradley’s objectives and standards.

Responsibilities

• Set high standards and motivate the team to create The Experience
• Exceed sales goals, build store traffic, convert Guests, interact with the product, and promote campaigns and contests to drive brand awareness and lasting customer relationships
• Act as a Brand Ambassador, consistently modeling and upholding the Vera Bradley Core Values
• Aid in planning, implementing, and maintaining the visual merchandising brand standards
• Assist with store operational duties including inventory, ordering, training, Fussy Matrix, e-mailing and calling Guests, and opening/closing
• Act as a liaison between store associates and store leadership to create a fun and collaborative work environment
• Maintain an awareness of loss prevention by supporting a culture of honesty and connecting the links between creating The Experience, store associate engagement, and shrink

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Prior retail experience
• Prior management experience
• Prior experience in specialty retail
• Experience with retail POS system

• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Ability to build and maintain good rapport with internal and external customers and handle situations with confidence, tact, and resourcefulness
• Flexible, adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Skills

• Strong sensory skills such as good eyesight, good hearing, and dexterity
• Ability to consistently lift 10-35 lbs; occasionally lift up to 55 lbs with the ability to push or pull more than 55 lbs

Pay

• Base Pay Range: $15.81 - $23.68
• Starting Pay: $18.00 USD

Schedule

• Constant walking and standing; frequent bending, stooping, and reaching
