Retail Supervisor - Cape May Zoo - Retail
About the role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Supervisor to oversee daily store operations, manage inventory, supervise staff, and ensure an organized and customer-friendly shopping environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support retail staff in daily operations.
- Receive, organize, and stock incoming merchandise.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and assist with inventory control procedures.
- Create and maintain attractive store displays and merchandise presentations.
- Monitor product movement and replenish merchandise as needed.
- Perform cash room reconciliation and ensure accuracy of daily cash handling procedures.
- Assist in employee scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment.
- Support management in achieving sales, operational, and customer service goals.
- Address customer concerns professionally and efficiently.

Requirements
- Previous retail supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Experience with merchandise receiving and inventory management.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Experience creating and maintaining retail displays.
- Employee supervision and leadership experience required.
- Retail Pro experience is helpful but not required.
- Cash handling and cash room reconciliation experience preferred.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise as needed.
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Pay
The hourly rate for this position is $19.00 to $20.00.
