About the role
Bath & Body Works is seeking a Retail Supervisor to lead and inspire a team in Brooklyn, NY. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering sales, customer experience, and operational results in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Attract, hire, develop, inspire, and retain top talent.
- Act as manager on duty when scheduled to address customer experience, vendor relationship, or maintenance issues.
- Partner with the sales leadership team to support action plans that improve results and ensure effective execution of operational activities.
- Perform opening and closing routines including bank deposits, receipt of shipment, and interpret/disseminate company directives.
- Set the direction and goals for the day/shift when associates arrive for work.
- Provide individual and team performance feedback and recommendations to managers.
- Create exceptional in-store customer experiences through demonstrating and modeling selling behaviors rooted in Our Values and elevated product knowledge.
- Train, coach, reward, and motivate associates to improve selling and the customer experience.
- Reinforce selling expectations, performance, results, and accountability with all associates.
- Maintain the most safe, clean, and engaging experience by adhering to all safety standards and expectations.
- Lead with curiosity and humility, build high-performing teams for today and tomorrow, influence and inspire with vision and purpose, observe, engage, and connect, strive to achieve operational excellence, and deliver business results.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a retail setting.
- Experience delivering sales, customer experience, and operational results in a fast-paced environment.
- Thrives in a customer-first based retail environment.
- Effective communication skills, open to feedback, and quick to adapt.
- Ability to provide in-the-moment coaching to associates.
- Ability to de-escalate store and customer situations effectively.
