About the role
Duluth Trading Company is seeking a Retail Store Manager to join our team. As a WOW! Go for WOW! retailer, we prioritize exceptional customer service and strive to exceed expectations.
Responsibilities
- Sales and Goals Achievement: Drive sales and profitability by meeting or exceeding budgeted financial goals. Manage employee expectations and execute sales productivity initiatives.
- Customer Service: Demonstrate high standards of customer service, set the tone for the team, and ensure accurate customer profile information is recorded.
- Human Resources/Leadership Skills: Recruit, hire, train, motivate, and lead employees. Ensure timely filling of positions and adherence to company policies.
- Store and Employee Operations: Control inventory and expenses, handle merchandise receipts and transfers, and manage visual merchandising. Ensure compliance with cash handling and reporting functions.
- Store Security: Maintain store security, respond to alarms, and ensure the safety of employees and customers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Merchandising preferred.
- Five years retail experience, with at least three years in retail management.
- Highly organized and adaptable in a dynamic environment.
- Able to build and lead teams effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Exemplifies integrity and trust.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Able to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Pay
Annual base salary range: $70,313 to $84,375/year. Eligible for company bonus program.
Schedule
Flexible shift schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Environmental Factors
- Standing or walking for up to eight hours a day.
- Frequent reaching, bending, and twisting.
- Frequent use of repetitive hand and arm motions.
- Frequent lifting up to twenty pounds, occasionally up to forty pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders, reach, and bend.
- Work in temperatures ranging from 50 to 80 degrees, especially in stock room areas.
- Use of common tools such as a hammer, screwdriver, and wrench for floor sets.
- Use of a computer up to 60% of the day.
