About the role

The Retail Store Associate position at Savers / Value Village is designed to create an awesome experience for customers, donors, and other team members. This role is available both full-time and part-time.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming environment for customers and donors.
• Manage inventory and ensure merchandise is displayed attractively.
• Handle customer inquiries and provide exceptional service.
• Process donations and ensure they are accepted according to guidelines.
• Operate cash registers and manage sales transactions.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
• Support the store's efforts in promoting sustainability and reuse.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Positive attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Pass a background check and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or customer service preferred.
• Interest in sustainability and environmental issues.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
