About the role

The Retail Store Associate position at Savers / Value Village is designed to create an awesome experience for customers, donors, and other team members. This role supports our mission of championing reuse and inspiring a future where secondhand is second nature.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to provide exceptional service and ensure they have a positive shopping experience.
• Manage inventory, including restocking shelves, sorting donations, and maintaining cleanliness.
• Handle cash transactions and manage customer returns and exchanges.
• Communicate effectively with donors to encourage donations and maintain a welcoming environment.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Support the store's efforts to promote sustainability and environmental responsibility.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or customer service preferred.
• Positive attitude and enthusiasm for the mission of Savers / Value Village.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Schedule
