About the role
The Retail Store Associate position at Savers / Value Village is designed to create an awesome experience for customers, donors, and other team members. This role supports our mission of championing reuse and inspiring a future where secondhand is second nature.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to provide exceptional service and ensure they have a positive shopping experience.
- Manage inventory, including restocking shelves, sorting donations, and maintaining cleanliness.
- Handle cash transactions and manage customer returns and exchanges.
- Communicate effectively with donors to encourage donations and maintain a welcoming environment.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Support the store's efforts to promote sustainability and environmental responsibility.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications
- Experience in retail or customer service preferred.
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm for the mission of Savers / Value Village.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
