Retail Scan Associate (Springfield, VT 05156)

About the role

This is a permanent PART‑TIME role. Base hours average 2‑6 hours per week across stores, depending on store size and workload, with additional hours (typically 1‑2 hours per week per store) frequently assigned for special projects from January through June. Full scheduling details will be reviewed during the interview. ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit a designated selection of stores each week to scan all product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps. The data collected is analyzed to improve sales performance for the product and retailer. Being a Retail Scan Associate offers workplace independence, flexibility in hours, and job consistency, with continuous physical activity throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Scan all product barcodes on displays, aisle locations, and aisle end caps each week using a downloadable mobile app.
• Provide the quantity for about 45% of the products scanned.
• Complete display scanning of the entire store weekly, which can take several hours.
• Undertake Custom Projects (additional product details in main stocking locations) that add 1‑2 hours of work per store most weeks.
• Adhere to weekly deadlines to ensure timely data delivery to clients.
• Maintain dependability and quality‑driven performance while working independently.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to endure being on your feet for long periods while accessing products throughout the store.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Deadline‑driven self‑starter.
• Access to reliable Wi‑Fi.
• Tech‑savvy.
• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
