Retail Scan Associate (Baton Rouge, LA 70817)
About the role
This is a permanent part‑time Retail Scan Associate position. Associates enjoy workplace independence, some flexibility in hours, and job consistency while performing continuous physical activity during each shift. A short video demonstrating daily tasks is available (ScanScape Video). ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit a designated selection of stores each week to scan all product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps. The collected data is analyzed to improve sales performance for the product and retailer. Associates work with grocery, convenience, drug, pet, and mass merchandise stores, including major chains such as Walmart, Kroger, Target, Albertsons and independent retailers, using a downloadable mobile app to capture barcode scans.
Responsibilities
- Scan all product barcodes on displays, aisles, and end caps each week.
- Provide the quantity for approximately 45 % of the scanned products.
- Complete Display Scanning of the entire store weekly (takes several hours).
- Undertake Custom Projects when clients request additional details in main stocking locations, adding 30 minutes to 2 hours of work per store most weeks.
- Adhere to weekly deadlines to ensure timely data delivery.
- Use a mobile phone app to scan barcodes throughout the store.
- Maintain dependability and quality‑driven work while enjoying workplace independence and flexibility.
