This is a permanent part-time role.

About the role

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit a designated selection of stores each week to scan all product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps throughout the store. The data collected is analyzed and used to improve the sales performance of the product and retailer.

This role offers workplace independence, flexibility in hours, and job consistency. There will be continuous physical activity throughout the workday shift.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-store data collections at assigned local retailers every week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks.
  • Scan barcodes in numerous locations throughout each store using a downloadable app on your mobile phone.
  • Provide the quantity of about 45% of the products scanned.
  • Complete weekly Display Scanning on the entire store, which can take several hours.
  • Perform Custom Projects—additional work requested by clients that can add 1 to 2 hours per store per week.
  • Adhere to weekly deadlines to ensure data quality and reliability.

Schedule

Base hours average 8–15 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours (typically 1–2 hours per week per store) are frequently assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June.

Available workdays by store location:

  • Drug Store – Rio Rancho, NM 87144: Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday
  • Grocery Store – Albuquerque, NM 87110: Wednesday or Thursday
  • Convenience Store – Albuquerque, NM 87114: Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday (2 locations)
  • Convenience Store – Albuquerque, NM 87112: Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday
  • Convenience Store – Albuquerque, NM 87105: Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday
  • Mass Merchandise – Albuquerque, NM 87123: Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday
  • Pet Store – Albuquerque, NM 87114: Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday

Pay

  • Competitive compensation at $16/hour.
  • Paid travel at your hourly rate (minus first and last 15 minutes).

Requirements

  • At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
  • Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
  • Ability to endure being on your feet for long periods while accessing products throughout the store.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand.
  • Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Must be a deadline-driven self-starter.
  • Access to reliable Wi-Fi.
  • Tech-savvy.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED (preferred).
