About the role

Signature Solar is expanding and is opening its first retail store in Reno this July. We are seeking Retail Store Associates to be part of the launch team and help establish the retail experience from day one.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell Signature Solar products to both residential and commercial customers.
  • Engage with potential clients, provide product information, and guide them through the sales process.
  • Educate customers on Signature Solar products and services.
  • Assess customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in solar technology and industry trends.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of our solar products and services.
  • Effectively communicate technical information clearly and understandably.
  • Consult with customers to understand their energy requirements and recommend appropriate solar solutions.
  • Present and explain pricing, financing options, and incentives.
  • Closely work with the sales team to achieve weekly/monthly targets.
  • Actively engage in lead generation activities, including events, promotions, and networking.
  • Follow up on leads generated through various channels.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers throughout the sales process.
  • Provide post-sale support and address customer inquiries or concerns.
  • Seek opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional products and services.
  • Complete sales-related paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Provide regular reports on sales activities, lead status, and achievements.

Requirements

  • A successful candidate must be able to greet and engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Have knowledge of solar energy systems and their benefits.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Have a goal-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Have familiarity with CRM software is a plus.
  • Be able to work flexible working hours, including weekends and evenings, to accommodate customer schedules and events.

Qualifications

  • Preferred certification in solar energy or related fields.
  • Experience in retail sales.
  • Experience in the solar or renewable energy industry is a plus.

Physical Requirements

This position may require the ability to perform tasks that involve sitting, standing, walking, lifting, computer work and other physical activities. Candidates should be able to meet these physical demands with or without reasonable accommodations.
