Retail Sales Associate - Archery Technician Lead

About the Role

North 40 Outfitters in Mead, WA, is seeking an authentic and enthusiastic Full-Time Archery Technician Lead who loves our lifestyle and believes in service before self. In this role, you will play a key role in the overall customer experience by providing outstanding customer service, generating sales, suggesting products, stocking and merchandising, maintaining a clean and organized department, leading and developing a successful team, and safeguarding company assets.

This full-time position requires the ability to work all scheduled shifts between the business hours of Mon-Sat 7 am to 8 pm, and Sunday 9 am to 5 pm. This shift can include working weekends and certain holidays and will require flexibility in scheduling based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service and generate sales
• Suggest and educate customers on archery products and brands sold by North 40
• Assist customers with maintaining and adjusting their archery equipment
• Stock and merchandise products while maintaining a clean and organized department
• Lead and develop a successful team, including providing feedback and motivating others
• Safeguard company assets
• Work independently or in a group setting, multitask, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Use merchandising experience to enhance product presentation
• Make decisions under ambiguity and lead by example

Requirements

• Archery experience and technical knowledge of archery products
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment and define success collectively
• Drive to be dependable and perform well against role expectations
• Good communication skills and ability to engage effectively with customers and team members
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain detailed and focused in a fast-paced environment
• General sporting goods knowledge is a plus
• Previous merchandising experience is helpful
• Sales experience, merchandising, and computer skills are a plus
• Willingness to lead by example and develop others
• Understanding of correct lifting and loading techniques

Qualifications

• Physical ability to lift and carry 0-15 lbs. continuously, 15-30 lbs. frequently, and 30-55 lbs. occasionally (team lift anything over 55 lbs.)
• Ability to spend 100% of work time on your feet, including use of ladders, rolling staircases, and pallet jacks
