Hunting/Archery/Fishing Sales - Retail Associate

Job Details

SCHEELS is seeking motivated individuals to join a team of associates passionate about hunting. Associates work with top brands including Traeger, Vortex, Sitka, Mystery Ranch, and more, selling products and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Compensation

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers on the sales floor with courtesy and a smile
• Grow personal sales by hitting minimum goals and providing an above and beyond customer experience
• Promote the Scheels Visa Rewards card and clearly explain its benefits
• Engage in conversations with customers and assist them in making buying decisions
• Demonstrate a passion for products in the store
• Attend all Scheels product training and store meetings
• Maintain a professional appearance on the sales floor
• Aid in all other assigned duties
• Perform basic math, compute rates, ratios, and percentages, draw and interpret bar graphs
• Write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
• Show strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
• Be willing to help with freight/stocking when needed
• Display product usage within the shop and retrieve product from heights greater than 6 ft

Education & Experience

• The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent and 1-3 months of sales experience

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements

• Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
