Retail Sales Agent

The Omni Viking Lakes Hotel seeks a Retail Sales Agent to manage the Copper & Thistle / Coffee Market operations and provide exceptional customer service.

• Ensure outlets are open on time.
• Upsell and organize merchandise.
• Prepare and serve quality beverages.
• Assist with food and beverage service in the lobby lounge.
• Maintain assigned cash register each shift.
• Support new Omni standards and respond to changes.
• Conduct daily and monthly physical inventory.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Assist guests and members.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions

• Open or close the outlet as assigned.
• Manage inventory and order items.
• Communicate with managers about inventory needs.
• Handle financial responsibilities and operational needs.
• Operate independently with scheduling flexibility.

Qualifications

• Clear verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cash handling and POS systems preferred.
• Current Minnesota Food Handlers certification and alcohol service certificate required.

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift and move moderate weights.
• Able to stand for extended periods.

Working Environment

• Occasional outdoor tasks and travel around the property.

Tools & Equipment

• Computer, printer, telephone, cleaning supplies, Credit card reader, coffee and cleaning machines, Micros, Microsoft Office programs.

Pay and Benefits

The starting salary for this position is $21.00/hour. Benefits include dental, vision, and other healthcare coverage, as well as discounts at the spa and restaurants, discounted rates at other Omni properties, corporate discounts, and continued education opportunities. Part-time associates are eligible for these benefits.
