About the role

The Retail Team Lead at Office Depot is a part-time role responsible for providing "total solutions" to customers, covering products, technology, services, furniture, and print offerings. The role involves building and maintaining customer relationships, supporting sales, engaging with the local community, and contributing to a positive culture aligned with the Office Depot 5C values.

Responsibilities

  • Support efficient operation in the Print function to drive overall store sales.
  • Operate and assist associates on all equipment within the Print Services area to ensure correct and timely completion of customer orders.
  • Utilize communication tools to request assistance and coordinate service for all customers.
  • Process merchandise accurately and efficiently, adhering to established procedures and deadlines.
  • Identify and implement plans to reduce waste and inefficiencies, ensuring compliance with loss prevention policies.
  • Contribute to increasing sales and profitability through conversion, AOV, and customer satisfaction improvement initiatives.
  • Drive positive client satisfaction levels by coaching and training associates to enhance the customer experience.
  • Support community outreach initiatives to retain clients.
  • Continuously develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through provided sales and service tools.
  • Ensure safety and security during the absence of the management team, including reviewing key performance indicators, activating/deactivating the store’s alarm system, and processing cash handling, cashier, and merchandise errors.
  • Perform opening or closing responsibilities, including driving awareness of key performance indicators, providing guidance to improve results, and participating in cash office audits.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred, 1-3 years related experience in sales or customer service, basic computer skills, ability to use job-related technology and POS systems, attention to detail, and experience in Print Services.

Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule

The salary range for this role is $11.70 to $17.50 per hour, with compliance with state and local minimum wages.
