Retail Outdoor Associate

Overview

At House of Sport, the Outdoor Associate will provide thoughtful product recommendations fitting the skill/experience level of each athlete, delivering an elevated customer service experience that builds meaningful relationships with athletes engaged in activities such as fishing, camping, hiking, etc.

Customer Service & Sales

• Drive the highest level of customer service within the Outdoor department
• Engage in behaviors aligned with company's service and selling standards
• Bring to life the power of opinion, providing consultative advice and excellent product knowledge
• Uphold standards for merchandise presentation, showcasing top apparel and equipment brands
• Guide and educate athletes through purchases, communicating information on use and maintenance of equipment and accessories

Operations

• Communicate information to teammates about Company initiatives, programs, and promotions
• Maintain Company loss prevention standards

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 1-3 years experience; prior retail experience preferred

Targeted Pay Range

Range: $16.50 - $24.50. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including location, experience, and position offered. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
