Retail Outdoor Associate
About the role
At House of Sport, the Outdoor Associate will provide thoughtful product recommendations tailored to the skill and experience level of each athlete. You’ll deliver an elevated customer service experience, building meaningful relationships with athletes in the great outdoors, fishing, camping, hiking, and related categories. Additional responsibilities include driving results, maintaining Company standards, and assisting with storewide operations as needed.
Responsibilities
- Drive the highest level of customer service within the Outdoor department while adhering to company service and selling standards.
- Provide consultative advice and demonstrate excellent product knowledge to enhance the explorer experience.
- Uphold merchandise presentation standards, including floor sets, signing requirements, price changes, replenishment, recovery processes, and in-stock conditions.
- Guide and educate athletes on the use and maintenance of their equipment and accessories.
- Communicate Company initiatives, programs, and promotions to teammates.
- Maintain Company loss prevention standards.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of experience; prior retail experience preferred.
Pay
Targeted pay range: $15.50 – $24.25 per hour. Starting rate may vary based on factors such as location, experience, and position offered. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location.
