Retail Outdoor Associate

Overview

At House of Sport, the Outdoor Associate will provide thoughtful product recommendations fitting the skill/experience level of each athlete, delivering an elevated customer service experience that builds meaningful relationships with athletes engaged in activities such as fishing, camping, hiking, etc.

Customer Service & Sales

• Drive the highest level of customer service within the Outdoor department while adhering to company service and selling standards.
• Bring to life the power of opinion, ensuring the explorer experience includes product experts providing consultative advice and excellent product knowledge.
• Uphold standards for merchandise presentation, showcasing top apparel and equipment brands through established floor sets, sign requirements, price changes, replenishment, and recovery processes, ensuring in-stock availability.
• Guide and educate athletes through their purchases by communicating information on use and maintenance of their equipment and accessories.

Operations

• Communicate information to teammates regarding company initiatives, programs, promotions, etc.
• Maintain Company loss prevention standards.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience; prior retail experience preferred.

Targeted Pay Range

Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience, and position offered. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
