Retail Outdoor Associate

About the role

At House of Sport, the Outdoor Associate will provide thoughtful product recommendations tailored to the skill and experience level of each athlete. You’ll deliver an elevated customer service experience that builds meaningful relationships with athletes in outdoor activities such as fishing, camping, hiking, and more. Additional responsibilities include driving results, maintaining Company standards, and assisting with storewide operations as needed.

Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales

• Drive the highest level of customer service within the Outdoor department while adhering to Company service and selling standards.
• Provide consultative advice and demonstrate excellent product knowledge to enhance the explorer experience.
• Maintain merchandise presentation standards, including floor sets, signing requirements, price changes, replenishment, recovery processes, and in-stock conditions.
• Guide and educate athletes through their purchase by explaining product use and maintenance.

Operations

• Communicate Company initiatives, programs, and promotions to teammates.
• Maintain Company loss prevention standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience; prior retail experience preferred.
