Retail Outdoor Associate

Overview

At House of Sport, the Outdoor Associate will provide thoughtful product recommendations fitting the skill/experience level of each athlete, delivering an elevated customer service experience that builds meaningful relationships with athletes engaged in activities such as fishing, camping, hiking, etc.

Customer Service & Sales

• Drive the highest level of customer service within the Outdoor department while adhering to company service and selling standards.
• Bring to life the power of opinion by making the explorer experience include product experts who provide consultative advice and demonstrate excellent product knowledge.
• Uphold standards for merchandise presentation, showcasing top apparel and equipment brands through established floor sets, sign requirements, price changes, replenishment, and recovery processes, ensuring in-stock items are visible.
• Guide and educate athletes through their purchases by communicating information on use and maintenance of their equipment and accessories.

Operations

• Communicate information to teammates regarding Company initiatives, programs, promotions, etc.
• Maintain Company loss prevention standards.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience; prior retail experience preferred.
