Essential Responsibilities
- Aid customers with frame and lens selection.
- Provide accurate product information about frames, lenses, and other services.
- Inform customers covered by third-party insurance about benefits and frame/lens selections.
- Sell, fit, and dispense frames and accessories.
- Maintain a clean and orderly dispensing area.
- Ensure accuracy of patient pricing.
- Communicate with the lab and optometrist for prescription accuracy.
- Fulfill education and experience requirements to become a licensed optician.
- Adhere to privacy and confidentiality policies.
- Participate in training and educational activities.
- Diligently maintain cleanliness of equipment, workstations, and facility.
- Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current New York or Massachusetts Apprentice permit to practice.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, talk, hear, and use close vision most of the time.
- Occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
- Work in a moderate noise environment.

Compensation
- Competitive pay and benefits.
