Retail Media Marketing Manager
About the role
The Farmer’s Dog is expanding into an omnichannel company and is looking for a Retail Media Marketing Manager to help stand up and support this new function. Reporting into the Director of Marketing Strategy, Planning and Operations, you’ll help build and execute processes for retail media as the function matures. Responsibilities will evolve as the scope and structure take shape, with a focus on supporting campaign execution across digital retail media networks and laying the groundwork for future retail marketing efforts.
What we stand for
- One Team: We align around shared goals, not departments. Collaboration and cross-functional problem-solving are central to how we work.
- Skeptical about everything, precious about nothing: Ideas can come from anywhere, and we’re quick to adapt if a better solution emerges. We prioritize customer input and iterate based on feedback.
- Customer journey focus: Every interaction matters. We ensure our strategy supports long-term retention and addresses customer needs proactively.
- Execute for impact: We reject rigid "best practices" and focus on being the best we can be, even if it means redefining traditional roles (e.g., acquisition marketing improving retention).
- Focused and hypothesis-driven: We work sequentially, testing hypotheses and adjusting priorities based on new information. Perfection isn’t the goal—rapid validation is.

- Help build foundational processes, tracking, and measurement frameworks for retail media marketing execution.
- Collaborate with Brand, Creative, Data, and Sales teams to align retail media and in-store efforts with broader marketing strategy.
- Manage day-to-day agency and vendor relationships, escalating strategic or contract-level decisions to leadership.
- Stay updated on retail media industry trends, new ad formats, and competitor activity, bringing actionable recommendations to the team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in retail media, shopper marketing, or performance marketing.
- Working knowledge of retail media platforms, specifically Walmart.
- Ability to translate campaign and retail performance data (e.g., ROAS, sales lift, conversion) into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Experience managing agency or vendor relationships and juggling multiple concurrent projects.
- Comfort with ambiguity, process-building, and evolving scope as TFD’s retail strategy develops.
- Strong analytical and Excel skills; ability to work cross-functionally.
- Thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments; proactive self-starter with a curiosity for new solutions.
- Ownership mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and strong attention to detail.
- Skilled communicator who can distill complexity into simple terms to drive decision-making.
- Passion for dogs.
