Essential Responsibilities
- Aid customers with frame selection, fitting, and dispensing frames.
- Utilize technical information to interpret prescriptions for optimal customer service.
- Provide accurate product information about frames, lenses, and other services.
- Inform customers about benefits covered by third-party insurance and any additional costs.
- Use the SERVE sales process to identify customer needs and make lens recommendations.
- Analyze and interpret patients' prescriptions and communicate with the lab and optometrist for accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized dispensing area.
- Ensure customer pricing accuracy for retail customers.
- Maintain license requirements according to state guidelines.
- Offer feedback and guidance to apprentice opticians.
- Adhere to privacy and confidentiality policies.
- Participate in training and educational activities.
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment, workstations, and facility daily.
- Complete additional responsibilities as needed.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicable state licensure for ophthalmic dispensing.
- Demonstrated knowledge and abilities in optical products, prescriptions, fitting, and dispensing.

Compensation
Position provides competitive pay and benefits. Specific terms are set forth in the Company's collective bargaining agreement with a minimum pay rate of $24.50 per hour plus incentive. Starting pay may vary based on experience to a maximum of $36.75 per hour. Incentive pay, wage upgrades, and overtime opportunities also available.
