About the Role
The Retail Internet Used Firearms Specialist is responsible for creating accurate descriptions and capturing high-quality images of the store’s selection of used firearms. This role uploads descriptions and photographs to the used firearm online website, maintains up-to-date inventories, and assists in sales through customer interactions via email, mail, telephone, and in-person contact.
Responsibilities
- Create and upload accurate descriptions and high-quality images of used firearms.
- Maintain a high-quality, up-to-date online inventory by adding or removing firearms as they are acquired, sold, or transferred.
- Evaluate and purchase used firearms, ensuring proper entry into the bound book and correct payment to customers.
- Initiate and complete 4473 forms, ensuring compliance with company, state, and federal regulations before firearm transfers.
- Assist in used firearm sales through direct customer interaction and provide legendary customer service.
- Process firearm transactions efficiently and in accordance with all policies, procedures, and laws.
- Produce monthly sales audit reports for online used firearms activities.
- Acquire firearms legally, complying with ATF, state, and local regulations, including background checks and waiting periods.
- Assist with firearm acquisitions, audits, optics mounting, and preparation of firearms for retail sale.
- Evaluate and appraise used firearms using historical knowledge and resources.
- Resolve customer issues using sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Maintain visual and merchandising standards, including restocking, remerchandising, and general housekeeping.
- Participate in ongoing training, including firearms product information, compliance, and selling techniques.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Ability to safely handle firearms and adhere to all company, state, and federal regulations.
- Knowledge of purchasing firearms, either through industry experience or personal collecting.
- Ability to operate a camera and computer for uploading photos and maintaining descriptions.

- Attention to detail in maintaining accurate inventories and records.
- Physical ability to handle firearms, operate tools, and perform light to moderate lifting (up to 100 pounds with assistance).
