Retail Internet Used Firearms Specialist role focused on creating accurate descriptions and capturing high-quality images of the store’s used firearms inventory for online listings. Maintains an up-to-date, high-quality website and assists in used firearm sales through various customer interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Create and upload accurate descriptions and high-quality images of used firearms for the online website.
  • Maintain a high-quality, up-to-date online inventory by adding and deleting firearms as they are acquired, disposed of, or transferred.
  • Evaluate and purchase used firearms, ensuring proper acquisition into the bound book and correct payment to customers.
  • Initiate 4473 forms with customers and conduct final checks of all applicable company, state, and federal forms before firearm transfers.
  • Assist in used firearm sales through customer interactions via email, mail, telephone, and in-person contact.
  • Provide legendary customer service by greeting, consulting, and assisting customers in finding merchandise and making buying decisions.
  • Process firearms transactions efficiently and in compliance with all internal policies, procedures, and laws.
  • Produce monthly sales audit reports for used firearms online activities.
  • Acquire all firearms legally in accordance with ATF, state, and local laws, including completing required forms and screening transfers for legality.
  • Assist with the acquisition, receipt, and preparation of firearms for retail sale, including mounting optics and safely checking/clearing firearms.
  • Evaluate and appraise used firearms using historical knowledge and resources.
  • Handle customer issues using good judgment and problem-solving skills within the job scope.
  • Maintain visual standards, including restocking, remerchandising, cleaning fixtures, and general housekeeping.
  • Participate in ongoing training related to firearms, shooting products, systems, compliance, and selling techniques.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • 0-2 years of experience.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Ability to safely handle firearms and adhere to all company, state, and federal regulations.
  • Ability to provide legendary customer service and assist customers in making buying decisions.
  • Proficiency in operating a camera and computer to upload photos and maintain descriptions.
  • Knowledge of purchasing firearms, either through industry experience or personal collecting.

Physical Requirements

  • Constantly remain in a stationary position, often standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods.

  • Constantly repeat motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Occasionally operate machinery and/or power tools.
  • Occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, or ramps.
  • Occasionally work in tight and confined spaces.
  • Light work involving moving objects up to 20 pounds; occasionally lift and move objects weighing 100 pounds or more (utilizing a team lift as needed).
