About the role
Primary responsibility for the Housekeeper is to ensure the store is cleaned daily for our customers. Other functions may include distributing merchandise bags and boxes and performing carry-outs of purchases for customers. Perform other duties as needed.
Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week, while part-time colleagues are typically scheduled 12-24 hours per week. Hours depend on business needs and colleague availability.
Responsibilities
- Maintain customer service as the top priority
- Project a courteous and professional demeanor to all internal and external customers
- Clean and maintain fitting rooms
- Pick up trash from registers, restrooms, offices, and common areas
- Clean and re-stock restrooms
- Dust the sales floor (both high and low)
- Maintain carpets and tile floors
- Ensure shortage prevention initiatives are executed
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships with colleagues, customers, and communities
Requirements
- 1-2 years of direct experience
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups
- Resourceful and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Works well independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays
Essential Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of standing/walking around store or department
- May involve reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping, color vision, and climbing ladders
- Ability to use equipment including ladder, vacuum, broom/mop, high-speed buffer, pushcart, hand truck
- Frequently lift/move up to 50 lbs
