About the role

As a Merchandising Colleague—also known as a Front of House Colleague—you’ll play a critical role in delivering a seamless, inspiring in-store experience. You will execute merchandise movement and placement strategies, enhance the visual appeal of the sales floor, maintain well-organized and shoppable displays, and ensure pricing and promotional signage is accurate and up-to-date. Your attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence will directly impact our customers’ experience.

You’ll be a visible and welcoming presence on the floor, greeting customers with genuine hospitality and offering assistance to ensure they feel seen, supported, and valued. Collaboration is key: you’ll work closely with colleagues across departments to meet shared goals, support sales, and contribute to a culture of hospitality and positivity.

Responsibilities

• Update mannequins, reset floor layouts, and align presentation with company directives to set the tone for an impactful shopping experience
• Greet customers warmly, make eye contact, and engage in friendly, personal conversations to understand their needs and provide thoughtful assistance
• Maintain a shoppable space by recovering the floor and fitting rooms, updating signs and pricing, replenishing merchandise, and supporting merchandise moves
• Share Loyalty program benefits, ensure customers have all they need, and end interactions with a sincere thank-you
• Collaborate with the team to reorganize the department, restock merchandise, and prepare the space for the next day
• Support one another with honesty, care, and collaboration to better serve customers and communities
• Strive to improve daily, take pride in your work, achieve sales goals, and learn from colleagues to deliver results
• Acquire new customers by opening credit accounts and sharing loyalty benefits
• Use point-of-sale technology and digital tools to streamline transactions and enhance the shopping experience
• Work seamlessly with colleagues at all levels and across departments to drive sales and elevate the customer experience
• Meet daily sales goal challenges

Requirements

• Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors
• Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English
• Ability to create connections with customers, help the store achieve sales goals, and participate in sales-boosting events
• Ability to foster a welcoming, friendly environment for customers and colleagues through meaningful conversations
• Ability to learn about store products and provide expert guidance to customers based on their wants, features, and choices

Essential Physical Requirements

• Talking, lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands
• Standing for at least two consecutive hours
• Lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
• Reaching, including above eye level
• Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
• Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers

Schedule

• Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week
• Part-time colleagues are typically scheduled 12-24 hours per week
• All schedules include weekend shifts as a requirement
• Hours depend on business needs and colleague availability
