Retail Freight Associate

About the role

The Receiving Specialist assists with receiving, processing, and moving merchandise from delivery to the sales floor. The role is responsible for freight handling, merchandising, maintaining an organized receiving area, and supporting efficient store operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving the truck and moving freight from the truck to the sales floor.
• Support pricing items, merchandising product, recovering the store, and training new Associates.
• Communicate receiving needs and issues to Team Leaders when necessary.
• Maintain a neat and organized receiving area and complete additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis.
• Positive attitude and team player who interacts well with customers and associates.

Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to bend, twist, grip, reach, and pinch frequently.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a safe manner.
