Retail Floor Associate (Part-Time)

Floor Associate Responsibilities

• Have ability to lift heavy cartons from the floor to overhead racks
• Assist with truck days, typically starting at 5:00 AM on Tuesdays and 7:00 AM on Fridays
• Stock all warehouse, drop ship, and back stock inventory
• Front and face merchandise on shelves as directed by their manager
• Read and explain directions for unfamiliar products

Customer Service

Customer service is priority one at all times. Each customer must be greeted with a smile and asked, "What can I help you find today?" Always walk the customer to all products. Make certain the customer has everything they need for their project.

Minimum Requirements

• Vast knowledge of hardware related products and home projects a plus
• Minimum of 1-3 years retail experience is a plus
• Willingness and ability to work a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs

Physical Requirements

• Ability to physically use a scanner to scan all merchandise and to use Point of Sale keyboard and computer keyboard for all transactions
• The ability to see and read product labels, dispense product knowledge, and communicate with customers
• Manual dexterity; working with cash registers and computers, assembly of some products; ability to quickly make appropriate change for customers
• Ability to stand for an extended period of time
• Bending, climbing, and twisting are routine; the position requires the ability to retrieve, stock, and move product

• Must be able to lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds
