About the role

We are seeking a results-driven Retail Consultant to join our Retail Consulting team on a full-time, permanent basis. In this critical role, you'll ensure our retail partners receive exceptional day-to-day support and achieve the maximum return on investment from their partnership with Focal and our technology solutions.

Responsibilities

• Owning the onboarding process and ongoing engagement with stores
• Acting as the key link between the retailer and the wider Focal team
• Driving change management and adoption by providing an exceptional onboarding experience for Focal's customers
• Identifying and removing barriers to utilization at every level of the organization
• Ensuring our customers fully embrace and leverage the power of Focal's solutions
• Acting as the voice and champion of the customer, proactively addressing any challenges they face and prioritizing their enhancement requests
• Facilitating internal collaboration across Focal's teams to ensure the best possible outcomes for our customers
• Demonstrating measurable ROI to the customer by quantifying the improvements that Focal's solutions bring to their store operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Mid or senior-level experience within the retail sector, ideally in grocery
• This experience should preferably include involvement in digital transformation and/or process improvement initiatives
• Alternatively, 5+ years in a technology client-facing role, spanning areas such as customer success, account management, consulting, project management, change management, or onboarding / training

Additional Requirements

• The ability to commute to stores as required

Pay

$120,000 to $150,000 On-Target-Earnings (80/20 split between base and bonus) + stock options

Schedule

Primarily field-based, with approximately 75–100% of time spent visiting stores throughout the NY/NJ area. Occasional overnight stays may be required based on territory coverage and business needs.
