Retail Banker

PenFed is hiring a Retail Banker to work onsite at our Cadet Financial Center located in West Point, New York. The primary purpose of this job is to extend member relationships by offering appropriate financial solutions and services to meet our members' needs.

• Assist members through the loan process, including inputting loan applications, reviewing terms and conditions, and disbursement.

• Provide assistance performing cash transactions when necessary to meet member needs and deliver a best-in-class member experience.
• Provide support to other branches, including working weekends and/or extended hours as required to operate the business.
• Maintain a high level of proficiency in operating all internal PenFed systems or platforms, including but not limited to SalesForce, PenTeller, Knowledge, Hogan, and inbound calls network, to support the needs of members and the business.
• Support additional PenFed initiatives to meet the needs of members and the business.
• If a Notary Public, provide members Notary Services while adhering to all state laws/regulations related to the notarization of documents.
• Provide in-bound call support where required.

Requirements

• Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.
• Associate Degree in a related field such as business management, business administration, or finance.
• Minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated successful sales experience is required.
• Minimum of at least six (6) months of cash handling experience.
• Experience in financial services and knowledge of financial services industry, products, and solutions.
• Valid Notary Public, preferred (not applicable for Puerto Rico locations).
• Previous phone-based customer service experience, preferred.
• Bilingual-Spanish preferred.
• Experience using A.I. tools preferred.

Pay

The anticipated starting hourly range for this role is $21.00 - $23.00. This position is eligible for an organizational performance-based annual bonus and an individual performance-based annual bonus, subject to board discretion and approval.

Schedule

Ability to travel to various worksites and be on-call may be required. Support to other branches may include working weekends and/or extended hours as needed.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise. Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.
