About the Role
San Diego FC is hiring part-time Retail Associates to work across our flagship store, matchday retail locations at Snapdragon Stadium, our warehouse and fulfillment center, and mobile retail units. This role is ideal for students, those seeking flexible schedules, individuals returning to the workforce, or anyone looking for additional income outside a traditional nine-to-five schedule. As a cross-utilized role, you may be scheduled at any of the following locations based on availability, experience, and the club's calendar:
- Flagship Store — Mission Valley: Year-round retail operations including daily sales, fittings, replenishment, visual standards, and customer service.
- Snapdragon Stadium: Multiple in-venue locations built up, stocked, operated, and broken down for every matchday. Fast-paced, physical, high-volume work in front of a full stadium.
- Retail Warehouse & Fulfillment Center: Core operations including receiving product, ticketing and tagging, inventory organization, staging for matchdays/events, and ecommerce order fulfillment.
- Mobile Retail: Two trailers and mobile units for pop-ups and activations across San Diego County, including community events, festivals, watch parties, and partner activations.
Responsibilities
- First Impressions: Represent San Diego FC with warmth and professionalism. Engage every fan—whether they're making a purchase or just asking a question—to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Selling: Drive front-line sales by understanding fan needs, making honest recommendations, and contributing to sales, conversion, and productivity goals.
- Customer Service: Handle questions, sizing, exchanges, and complaints professionally, resolving issues on the spot when possible. Serve a diverse, bilingual fan base with patience during peak times.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of kits, seasonal collections, collaborations, and limited releases, including availability, pricing, and upcoming releases.
- Jersey Customization: Process kit personalization orders accurately, adhering to name/number rules, league restrictions, pricing, and turnaround expectations.
- Order Fulfillment: Complete customization, special, and in-store pickup orders from start to finish, keeping fans informed on status and timing.
- Ecommerce Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and ship online orders with attention to accuracy and presentation. Process online returns and exchanges.
- Transactions & POS: Process sales using point-of-sale and mobile POS systems, handle cash/card payments, and reconcile your assigned station at shift end.
- Loss Prevention: Follow checkout, inventory control, and loss prevention policies to protect club assets at all locations.
- Stadium & Event Conversions: Execute full build-out and tear-down for matchdays and events, including setting fixtures, restocking, and packing product post-event.
- Inventory Support: Receive and check vendor shipments, flag discrepancies/damages, ticket/tag product, stage for matchdays/activations, and support cycle counts.
- Organization & Cleaning Standards: Uphold cleanliness and presentation standards across all locations—sales floor, stockroom, stadium, trailers, and warehouse.
- Grassroots Support: Promote San Diego FC initiatives by sharing knowledge of club programs, community events, and academy activities. Distribute promotional materials to drive fan engagement.
