Retail Associate
About the role
This entry-level position supports smooth customer checkout through accurate transactions and friendly in-person service. The position is on‑site, interacting with customers and/or onsite operations teams. Work is performed in a store, stockroom, warehouse, distribution center, production facility, or similar physical work environment, with regular face‑to‑face interaction with customers, coworkers, supervisors, drivers, or other onsite teams as applicable.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers to the checkout area
- Process purchases, returns, or exchanges according to policy
- Assist with bagging and basic customer questions
- Maintain supplies and cleanliness around registers
Requirements
A strong entry-level candidate is dependable, comfortable working on their feet, able to communicate clearly with others, attentive to accuracy and safety, and willing to learn established procedures. Prior experience is helpful but is not required for many roles when employer training is provided.
