About the role

The Home Expert Associate (Sales Associate) at Article's San Francisco store is responsible for creating welcoming and supportive shopping experiences for customers. The store is located in the heart of San Francisco's design district and is set to open on August 16th.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers into the showroom and help them feel at home
• Guide customers through our furniture selection and support ordering
• Stay informed about our products, tools, and policies to support customer confidence
• Keep the store looking beautiful and organized throughout the day
• Use internal systems to manage orders, support returns, and navigate logistics
• Collaborate with teammates and contribute to a respectful, team-first environment
• Participate in regular coaching and feedback with your Store Manager

Requirements

• Authorized to work in the United States
• Completion of a criminal background check
• Reliable transportation to 2299 Alameda St, San Francisco
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times
• Minimum 18 years of age

Qualifications

Experience in a considered-purchase environment, such as furniture retail, is preferred. Passion for helping people and solving problems, along with building strong, genuine relationships, are key qualities.

Skills

Customer service skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. Knowledge of furniture products and trends is beneficial.

Pay

$23.00 - $25.00 / hour

Schedule

• Full-Time Employees: 40 hours a week, 5 shifts a week
• Part-Time Employees: Regularly work fewer than 32 hours a week, and no guaranteed minimum hours/shifts.
