About the role

There are various volunteer opportunities available across different locations and organizations. These opportunities include trail maintenance, food sorting and packing, warehouse sort and pack, heat relief stations, and more.

Responsibilities

• Violet Crown Trail Monthly Cleanup: Assist with cleaning up the Violet Crown Trail in Austin, TX
• Volunteer Information Session: Attend an information session to learn about volunteer opportunities at Chicago Animal Care and Control
• Trail Maintenance Crew: Help maintain trails at Mission Trails Regional Park in San Diego, CA
• Warehouse Sort & Pack: Sort and pack food and other items at the Maryland Food Bank in Baltimore, MD
• Heat Relief Station: Provide heat relief to those in need at the Salvation Army in Avondale, AZ
• Summer Fan Drive: Assist with the summer fan drive at Family Eldercare in Austin, TX
• Main Kitchen Crew: Help prepare and serve meals at the Society of St Vincent de Paul in Phoenix, AZ
• Sort-A-Rama: Sort and pack food at the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina in Charlotte, NC
• Food Repack Session: Repack food at the Greater Chicago Food Depository in Chicago, IL
• Volunteer Information Session (Virtual): Attend a virtual information session to learn about volunteer opportunities at RefugeeOne
• Build Day: Assist with building homes at the New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity in New Orleans, LA
• Friendship Trays Meal Delivery: Deliver meals to those in need at Nourish Up in Charlotte, NC
• Day Services Center Afternoon Shift: Assist with the day services center at Roof Above in Charlotte, NC
• Evening Volunteer Shift: Volunteer at the United Food Bank in Mesa, AZ
• Night Strike: Provide services to those in need at CityTeam Portland in Portland, OR
• August Volunteer Cleanup: Clean up the Shoal Creek Trail in Austin, TX
• Breakfast Service Support: Assist with breakfast service at Manna House in Baltimore, MD
• Native Plant Nursery Care: Care for native plants at Common Ground Relief in New Orleans, LA

• Greenbelt Stewardship Day: Assist with greenbelt stewardship at Audubon Great Lakes in North Chicago, IL
