Sr. Security Shift Mgr

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the shift operation of the Security department activities and personnel. Oversees the safety, security and assists of team members, guests and company during their assigned shift. Monitors the activities of all security personnel during their assigned shift to ensure compliance with department and company policies and procedure. Schedules, evaluates and monitors subordinate personnel. Assigns work, grants overtime (at security manager’s approval), early outs, disciplines team members and recommends wage increases and promotions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversees the safety and security of all customers and team members and the company assets during their assigned shift.
• Maintains a secure environment by monitoring the activities of all security personnel during their assigned shift to ensure compliance with department and property policies and procedure.
• Promotes a safe and secure environment by promoting and monitoring the confidential treatment of all relevant information.
• Provides clear, concise incident reports, daily logs and documentation for shift activities and incidents.
• Investigates and follows up on all shift reports and activities.
• Communicates effectively with staff and management regarding property activities.
• Performs duties of a subordinate as required.
• Responds to medical crises by providing first aid and notifying emergency medical services.
• Acts as a liaison between law enforcement and casino management.
• Proactively conducts emergency drills within the security department.
• Supports and guides all casino departments and personnel as needed.
• Ensures compliance with gaming laws, state regulations, departmental policies and procedures and internal controls.
• Mediates and solves problems for employees and guests and establishes and maintains effective lines of communication.
• Identifies operational and organizational opportunities and works with the security department upper management team to recommend, develop and implement sound solutions.
• Attends all company required mandatory training classes when scheduled.
• Controls access, enters/removes team members in to the keywatcher, ensures all inventory and logs are accurate in the spare key box, verifies shipments and inventory of cards, dice and chips, and verifies proper key, card and dice destruction.
• Ensures all visitors, vendors and contractors are logged and accounted for while on the Oxford Casino Property.
• Manages designated shift, including scheduling, mentoring, disciplining team members, and ensuring completion of payroll, timekeeping records and verifies time sheets of all security officers in their shift.
• Conducts emergency drills within the security department.
• Understands and operates the SAFLOK program.
• Ensures all locks programmed to the SAFLOK are operational, replaces damaged keys, ensures all inventory and logs are accurate in the spare key box, verifies shipments and inventory of cards, dice and chips, and verifies proper key, card and dice destruction.
• Ensures all visitors, vendors and contractors are logged and accounted for while on the Oxford Casino Property.
• Manages designated shift. Includes: scheduling, mentoring, disciplining team members. All Officers on designated shift shall report to the “Senior Shift Manager”. Will find adequate staffing levels to maintain integrity of shift. Will have full control and authority over shift. Ensures completion of payroll, timekeeping records and verifies time sheets of all security officers in their shift.
