Position Overview

Shift Maintenance – Shawano (Hiring Immediately)

Pay: $30.75 – $35.07 – $39.40 per hour

Schedule: 4 PM – 4:40 AM, 2‑2‑3 night shift (12‑hour rotating day/night). Bonuses are available, and a skill‑set training bonus of $1.00 per hour is provided during the first year.

Under the general direction of the Maintenance Manager, the incumbent installs, troubleshoots, and diagnoses production and process manufacturing equipment onsite, performs modifications, repairs, and preventative/predictive maintenance, and utilizes a computerized maintenance inventory system for parts requisition and work order processing.

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities

• Apply general mechanical knowledge (gears, bearings, pulleys, belts, etc.) as well as pneumatics and hydraulics to troubleshoot equipment problems with minimal supervision.
• Use precision measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges.
• Safely operate shop tools including cutoff saws, drill press, bench grinder, hydraulic press, vertical band saw, arc welders, acetylene torch, and various hand tools.
• Employ electrical aptitude: use a digital multimeter to detect voltage, faulty wiring, blown fuses, switches, terminals, circuit boards, breakers, and photoelectric controls.
• Troubleshoot simple circuits, three‑phase power systems, AC/DC drives, PLCs, and servo drive systems.
• Install conduit runs, disconnects, fuse boxes, relays, motor controls, motors, and brushes.
• Adhere to all plant Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food‑safety standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Follow Food Contact Packaging Safety requirements as outlined in the SQF Quality Manual.

Candidate Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s Degree in Electro‑Mechanical Maintenance or Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology preferred).
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.
• Team‑oriented attitude with attention to detail, cooperative demeanor, and solid work ethics.
• Forklift experience helpful but not required.
• Ability to work 12‑hour rotating day/night shifts.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation.
