Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Aid residents with restorative exercises to improve or maintain mobility, strength, and independence.
- Encourage participation in activities and assist with out-of-bed mobility as needed.
- Assist with dining, splinting, transfers, ambulation, and range-of-motion exercises.
- Obtain and record resident weights, reporting significant changes to nursing staff.
- Ensure residents have clean, properly fitting clothing and linens.
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living such as toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Reposition residents to promote comfort and prevent skin breakdown.
- Maintain cleanliness, dignity, and personal appearance for residents.
- Participate in RNA meetings to monitor and adjust restorative programs.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation and charting.
- Maintain a positive, respectful, and therapeutic environment.
- Promptly report changes in resident condition, abnormal findings, or concerns.
- Assist with medical appointments, treatments, meals, and social activities.
- Support catheter care and proper cleaning of equipment.
- Promote skin integrity through proper care techniques and the application of pressure-relieving devices.
