Restorative Aide (CNA Required)

Job Summary

The Restorative Aide will deliver rehabilitative and therapeutic services under the supervision of licensed medical staff, adhering to established standards and regulations.

Principal Responsibilities

• Provides restorative nursing tasks such as ambulation, range of motion, positioning, self-feeding, etc.
• Utilizes restorative techniques including verbal cueing, task sequencing, hand over hand, prompting, guarding, etc.
• Promotes independence for residents through consistent, structured, and controlled re-teaching and retraining techniques.
• Affixes to residents' physical needs, including eating, bowel, and bladder training, and assists with incontinence management while encouraging self-performance.
• Participates in retraining programs for these functions.
• Observes and reports on resident's conditions and documents observations as required.
• Contributes knowledge of resident's conditions/needs to resident care plans.
• Documents restorative exercises and weekly summaries as required.
