About the role

Available schedule: Monday - Friday & every other weekend, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in providing regular resident care as directed
  • Provide active and passive range of motion following directions from physical and occupational therapists
  • Deliver personal care to residents in a safe and comfortable manner
  • Assist in restorative or rehabilitative care
  • Notify licensed staff when a resident complains of pain
  • Perform restorative nursing tasks such as ambulation, range of motion, positioning, and self-feeding within training scope
  • Observe and report resident’s ambulation ability, distance, body alignment, and gait
  • Ambulates resident to specified distances with assistance and/or equipment as per care plan
  • Record ambulation, muscle strengthening, and range of motion in resident notes
  • Provide general nursing care including positioning, lifting, turning, and assisting with bedpans or commodes
  • Adhere to center policies and procedures
  • Participate in socialization activities
  • Assist residents back to bed, ensuring proper body mechanics and safety
  • Treat residents and families with respect and dignity
  • Perform care in an environment that optimizes resident safety and reduces errors
  • Support and maintain a culture of safety and quality
  • Properly restrain residents when ordered
  • Assist in restraint reduction programs by reviewing and monitoring residents
  • Provide reality orientation in daily care

Qualifications

  • At least one year of long-term care experience
  • Past experience as a restorative aide preferred
  • Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) certification required
  • Must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication
