About the Role
Royal Park Health and Rehabilitation is looking for a Restorative Aide (CNA) responsible for providing restorative care to patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The aide will work with patients to improve their mobility, strength, and range of motion, and assist with activities of daily living.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with exercises and activities to improve their mobility, strength, and range of motion
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and record patient progress
- Communicate with the nursing staff regarding patient care
- Assist with transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, and other equipment
- Ensure patient safety and comfort at all times
Requirements
- Current certification as a nursing assistant in the state of employment
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Experience working as a Restorative Aide
Qualifications
- Preferred: Completed a course designed to specifically train Restorative Aides
- Experience working with elderly or disabled individuals
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and nursing staff
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to lift and transfer patients
