About the role

The Marriott at the University of Dayton is seeking a Restaurant Supervisor to lead and manage kitchen operations and staff. This role involves overseeing all kitchen and restaurant associates, training them, and ensuring high-quality food service.

Responsibilities

• Direct operational efforts and strategies of all kitchen outlets
• Supervise kitchen staff and restaurant, lounge, banquet, and utility and sanitation associates
• Train associates in kitchen duties such as seasoning, food production, display work, cleaning, and sanitation
• Aid in scheduling, performance evaluation, and communication with associates
• Write and present disciplinary actions as necessary
• Provide associates with necessary tools and equipment
• Take immediate action on kitchen and restaurant issues
• Participate in staff meetings, BEO meetings, food and beverage meetings, and monthly kitchen inventory
• Ensure food quality, preparation, and timely service
• Support in various areas of food service and other hotel operations as needed

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have experience in supervising full-service restaurant kitchens, knowledge of beverage costs and service sequences, micros experience is a plus, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
