Restaurant Server - PM shift

About the role

The Server is responsible for taking customers' food and drink orders, serving food and beverages, preparing itemized checks, and sometimes accepting payments. They ensure the highest quality of service in an efficient and courteous manner.

Responsibilities

• Comply with Avion Hospitality standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations.
• Meet certification requirements such as Alcohol Awareness, Food Handlers, and Safety.
• Be familiar with restaurant and lounge organization, including the function of each job position.
• Have thorough knowledge of menus and specials.
• Serve guests with all food and beverage requirements in a warm, friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
• Clear, clean, and reset tables as needed.
• Operate the P.O.S. system and perform cashiering functions, including closing checks and end-of-shift paperwork.
• Perform opening and closing procedures, as well as side work duties according to station rotation.
• Ensure tables and side stands are stocked, tidy, and clean.
• Check patron identification to verify minimum age requirement for alcohol purchases.
• Perform additional duties such as escorting guests to tables, serving customers at counters, setting up and clearing tables, or operating a cash register.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent; experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Alcohol Awareness Certification (must comply with State regulations).
• Food Handlers certification (must comply with State regulations).
• Ability to convey information and ideas clearly.
• Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
• Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
