Restaurant Server Assistant | Part-Time | The Ra Ra Room

About the role

We are searching for Restaurant Server Assistants to join our team at The Ra Ra Room by Major Food Group and Oak View Group, an exclusive members-only fine dining club in downtown Phoenix. This role is ideal for experienced hospitality professionals with a strong work ethic, dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of cuisine and professionalism in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate guests’ needs and ensure service meets or exceeds expectations to create a memorable dining experience.
• Inspect dining room, table settings, chairs, floors, and overall cleanliness and safety.
• Monitor tables throughout service to ensure member satisfaction and assist in resolving guest issues.
• Maintain knowledge of the menu and any special offerings.
• Pre-bus and fully bus tables as needed, especially during peak periods.
• Remain available to work during peak periods and maintain high responsiveness to customer requests.
• Maintain a professional and clean appearance at all times.
• Communicate effectively with wait staff, bus persons, bartenders, supervisors, and kitchen staff to enhance coordination and guest experience.
• Build and maintain knowledge of bar offerings to accurately answer patron questions.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of service experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment preferred.
• High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent food service job experience.
• Must acquire and maintain a Food Handlers Card, Alcohol Awareness Certification, and other required compliance trainings.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, event-driven environment.
• Strong communication skills with employees, coworkers, management, and guests in a respectful and professional manner.
• Drive to provide exceptional service.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting heavy objects.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including POS systems, Microsoft Word, and Excel.

Pay

This role offers an hourly rate of $12.00 and is tip-eligible.
