About the role
Oak View Group is searching for a Restaurant Host to join our team at The Ra Ra Room by Major Food Group and Oak View Group, an exclusive members-only fine dining club in downtown Phoenix. This role is ideal for experienced hospitality professionals with a strong work ethic who are committed to maintaining the highest standards of cuisine and professionalism.
This position will remain open until October 30, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Greets and seats guests, presents menus, and informs them of special catches and soups.
- Ensures complete guest satisfaction and strives to exceed expectations.
- Manages a waiting list and maintains the floor plan board.
- Observes and tracks clean, dirty, and occupied tables.
- Takes guest information and provides accurate wait time quotes when tables are unavailable.
- Cleans, organizes, and stocks menus at the host area.
- Answers phone calls and responds to guest questions about the menu and restaurant.
- Interacts with guests upon arrival and departure to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Performs other duties as directed.
Requirements
- Experience in a high-volume, upscale restaurant is preferred but not required.
- Previous customer service experience is strongly preferred.
- Must possess a drive to provide exceptional service.
- Full-time flexible hours required (days, nights, weekends, and holidays).
- Ability to stand/walk for 8 hours; bend, push, pull; and lift heavy objects.
- Proficient or able to learn computer skills, including POS systems, Seven Rooms, Word, and Excel.
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude.
Pay
Hourly rate of $15.00 to $20.00.
