About the role

Responsible for activating restaurants after the sales agreement is signed. This role manages the process from onboarding and POS setup through menu/photo uploads, troubleshooting, follow-up, and final quality checks before the merchant goes live.

Responsibilities

• Onboard and activate restaurant merchants after contract signing.
• Conduct onboarding calls and explain setup requirements and timelines.
• Review and validate menu items against program requirements.
• Upload menus and photos into systems and restaurant POS platforms.
• Work with POS systems such as Toast, Square, Clover, Otter, and UrbanPiper.
• Coordinate photoshoots and resolve scheduling or quality issues.
• Troubleshoot and escalate POS and technical issues.
• Follow up with unresponsive merchants through phone and email.
• Maintain accurate activation trackers, statuses, and notes.
• QA live merchants to ensure menus, pricing, photos, and $12 Meal Box offerings are correct.
• Communicate activation updates and issues with cross-functional teams through Slack.

Required Qualifications

• Restaurant/F&B or retail industry experience preferred.
• Experience with restaurant POS systems such as Toast, Square, Clover, or similar.
• Experience in merchant/customer onboarding, implementation, activation, or technical support.
• Strong phone, email, and customer communication skills.
• Excellent follow-up, organization, and attention to detail.
• Comfortable managing multiple merchants and high-volume workflows.
• Experience with Slack and spreadsheet/tracker management.
• Bachelor's degree required.
