About the role

Lead a high-performing team in one of college basketball's most iconic venues, Allen Fieldhouse and the Naismith Room, where your leadership will shape unforgettable guest experiences. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Restaurant Manager to grow within a business known for progression, development, and excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a dynamic restaurant team to deliver exceptional service.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations including rotas, stock control, and service standards.
  • Build strong guest relationships and handle feedback with professionalism.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen and events teams to ensure seamless service.
  • Maintain positive guest relationships, including obtaining regular feedback through table visits and executing quality standards.
  • Train and convey brand clarity through menu, wine, and beverage knowledge.
  • Promote a positive work environment through hiring/selection of team members, maximizing productivity and morale through team member engagement, and maintaining appropriate staffing levels per business needs.
  • Maintain state, federal, and business compliance, including but not limited to responsible alcohol service guidelines, safety and sanitation standards, and client requirements.
  • Engage in the financial goals of the operation with support from the General Manager and Sr. Food and Beverage Director.
  • Employ good safety and sanitation practices.
  • Follow and enforce responsible alcohol service policies.
  • Execute required daily reporting in a timely manner.
  • Execute inventory controls.
  • Execute all menu requirements and fulfill all guest-specific service requests.
  • Ensure all function setups and breakdowns are executed correctly, efficiently, and expeditiously.
  • Promote a cooperative work climate, maximizing productivity and morale.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled meetings to ensure lines of communication are open between management and team members.
  • Interview, hire, train, and develop team members.
  • Display a positive attitude towards team members.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years’ experience in a managerial position in a high-volume restaurant.
  • Proven experience managing a busy, quality-focused restaurant.
  • Hospitality experience essential within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
  • Passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • ServSafe certification.
  • Experience working with and understanding P&Ls.
  • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and point-of-sale systems.
  • Exceptional communication skills and an ability to anticipate guest and employee needs.
  • Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Pay

This role pays an annual salary of $65,000-$75,000 and is bonus eligible.
