Restaurant Manager

Posted compensation: $50k to $60k, full-time, on-site.

About the Role

The Rainbow Cone Assistant General Manager will work closely with the General Manager to achieve all store goals. The ideal candidate is a driven, self-motivated individual who can perform at the highest levels of hospitality while upholding the integrity and values of the business. This role promotes a fun and safe environment and requires strong organizational skills, the ability to follow direction, and the capacity to lead the hourly team.

Responsibilities

• Uphold company values in all circumstances
• Develop and mentor supervisors
• Maintain high standards of hospitality and product quality
• Train all team members
• Manage purchasing and inventory
• Engage in community outreach and social media feedback
• Ensure venue cleanliness and sanitation
• Ensure team compliance with health regulations and certifications
• Assist GM with repair and maintenance (R&M) reports of the venue and equipment
• Enforce policies, procedures, and controls
• Conduct monthly meetings with supervisors to identify opportunities
• Engage with guests in the parlor to observe portions and atmosphere

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, or 1–3 years of experience in food and beverage
• Illinois and City of Chicago Manager Sanitation License
• Strong understanding of ice cream cycles and storage
• Ability to lift 40 lbs comfortably
• Ability to stand for 8 hours or more
