Restaurant Line Cook

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cook II to join our team at Honeycomb Grill. This is a full-time, seasonal, hourly position responsible for preparing delicious meals and assisting with food service.

Specific Job Requirements

• 5 years of kitchen experience
• Maintain open, constructive channels of communication with other kitchen personnel
• Demonstrate a good attitude and cooperative nature when dealing with kitchen staff, supervisors, and guests
• Follow directions from your supervisor and ask questions about assigned duties
• Handle stressful situations with composure
• Report complaints or problems to your supervisor promptly
• Capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 40 lbs
• Flexible work schedule including holidays and weekends
• Obtain and maintain necessary licenses/certifications

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• All dishes must be lively in content and flavor, adhering to production standards and time constraints
• Ensure fully seasoned preparations
• Sous Chef or Chef must taste all preparations before service
• Service lines must be kept spotless and pans changed regularly
• Food selections should be well-stocked and appropriately garnished
• Attend to details, including making sure mise-en-place is in sufficient quantities
• Prompt, friendly, and efficient guest service
• Assist servers during busy times to speed guests through lines
• Greet guests politely and suggest additional items
• Work safely to prevent injuries and keep work/service areas clean and uncluttered
• Break down and clean service lines quickly and thoroughly at the end of service
• Complete daily inventories before the end of each shift
